Oliver Lopez

Postdoctoral Fellows

Postdoctoral Fellows, Environmental Sciences and Engineering

Oliver Lopez studied Engineering Physics at Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM) in Mexico, where he collaborated in Wind Energy research. He was a visiting student at École Polytechnique in Palaiseau, France, collaborating in a research project in biomechanics. He then received his master degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from KAUST, where he focused on arid lands natural systems.

He is currently doing his PhD research on hydrological fluxes and stores in the MENA region, using Land Surface Modelling and Remote Sensing

Research Interests

Oliver's interests include modeling of environmental processes, such as hydrological fluxes, water resources management and engineering, engineered aquifer recharge and recovery systems, and the development of renewable energy systems
