Biography

Matteo completed his BSc and MS degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Politecnico of Milan in Italy. After graduation, he spent almost 8 months undertaking research as an intern at KAUST, working on data assimilation techniques for improving flood forecasts in urban areas, under the supervision of Professor Ibrahim Hoteit in the Earth Fluid Modeling and Prediction group. Since September 2016 he has been working as a PhD student in the HALO group and his research interests is now focused on crop yield forecasting methods integrated with UAV and Remote Sensing applications.
