Ali Ershadi, PhD

Postdoctoral Fellows

Post-Doctoral Fellow, Environmental Sciences and Engineering

Alumni

Biography

Dr. Ershadi received his PhD in the field of remote sensing hydrology from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Australia. Before his PhD, he completed an MSc degree in Water Resources and Environmental Management from Twente University, Netherlands. During his academic and professional career, Ali spent around a year in academic research as a Postdoc and around 7 years in consulting companies on water related projects. Ali joined KAUST in early 2014.

Research Interests

Dr. Ershadi's research mainly focuses on the use of remote sensing data on hydrological modeling and integrated water resources management. His current research projects concentrate on i) preparation of evaporation maps for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, ii) measuring the land surface heat fluxes using eddy-covariance towers, and iii) multi-spectral and hyper-spectral remote sensing data processing at different scales for the region.
